STEM Academy PNW – TBD
In 2022, The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) entered into an agreement with Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) to form a new partnership. The objective of this partnership is to promote STEM education initiatives and career awareness for high school students who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind. The STEM Academy PNW is open to students with all language experiences and communication modalities. This program is free of cost to students and families.
STEM Academy PNW serves the following 4-state region:
• Alaska
• Idaho
• Oregon
• Washington
We currently serve 4 states with the goal of expanding to more states in the region. Our top goal is to encourage deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind students to get involved and expand their understanding of STEM topics and increase academic skills to prepare for a successful post-secondary school transition.
