REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE FOR 1:1s and MOCK SESSIONS FRIDAY APRIL 24TH.
We are offering:
- 1:1 appointment with a Deaf Mentor (the chance to get direct feedback on work you show, or discuss work situations to get a Deaf perspective)
- 1:1 appointment with an Interpreter Mentor (the opportunity to discuss work scenarios with a colleague, and look at works samples for feedback
- Mock Session appointments where both a Deaf and Interpreter Mentor will provide an interpreting opportunity then direct feedback and discussion following)
- Receptive Practice through Story Telling workshop with Taralynn Petrites!
- Professional Development Lab – Open Zoom meeting you can join with a group of mentors and interpreters to ask and discuss a multitude of questions.
- Two-week Listening Series– Practices for deciphering the goal and meaning with Colleen Roy and Melissa Klindtworth.
- Pasco! We are bringing the much talked about and loved Traveling PD series to you this month! We can’t wait to see you all.

- All of these opportunities are free!
- 1:1 and mock sessions are only available to Washington State Interpreters working in K-12 on a regular schedule.
- Your EIPA score does NOT determine eligibility. Those with scores up to 5 are welcome and encouraged to continue developing skills and creating community.
- Workshops and Series are open to all Washington K-12 Interpreters, Paras, and those working with Deaf students in the K-12 setting.
- The Traveling PD series, and PD Labs will used the shared language of ASL.
- We will provide certificate of attendance for all workshops and series. They can be provided for 1:1s and Mock upon request.
- May will be the final month of PD for 2022-23 School year. We will be in Wentachee for the final Traveling Workshop on May 20th Register here
